He’s the Agriculture Department’s “boots on the ground” as he talks with the farmers about problems in the field and aids in providing solutions to fix those problems. Heath not only designs irrigation systems to effectively water row crops, he is also in charge of precision leveling, which includes: surveying fields, field designing, integrating software into machinery, and managing the physical precision leveling process.
Before AWS, Heath earned a business degree from the University of Louisiana of Lafayette (Go Cajuns!) and graduated from the LSU Ag Leadership Program with the class of 2014. Heath enjoys that every day presents new challenges to overcome while working at AWS. He loves getting to design things from the ground up, and the opportunity to build something and see it all come together is his favorite part.
Heath is happily married to his wife, Kristin, and they have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl. He’s a tinkerer at heart, so he’s always taking things apart to see how they work and fixing broken things in his downtime.
